Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of National Centre for Ageing at AIIMS

  • The Prime Minister dedicated the Underground Tunnel between AIIMS and JNPA Trauma Centre, and Power Grid Sadan at AIIMS along with 500 bedded New Emergency Block and 807 bedded Super Facility Block at Safdarjung Hospital to the Nation.

  • The Prime Minister also mentioned about the Ayushman Bharat Programme.

  • About Ayushman Bharat: Under the National Health Protection Mission, 10 Crore poor and vulnerable families will be provided a coverage upto 5 Lakh Rupees per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.

  • This will be the World’s largest Government funded health programme.

Madhya Pradesh will be awarded for reducing Maternal Mortality

  • Madhya Pradesh has been registered an unprecedented 48-digit decline in maternal deaths as per the report of the Registrar General of India from 2014- 2016.

  • Under Prime Minister’s Safe Motherhood Campaign, Madhya Pradesh will be awarded for reducing Maternal Maternity.

  • The Prime Minister’s Safe Motherhood Campaign has been launched to ensure quality of care over 3 Crore pregnant women of the country before delivery.

Nissan Signs MoU with Kerala Government for Digital Hub

  • Nissan Motor signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Kerala to establish a new Global Centre for its digital operations in India.

  • The Nissan Digital Hub in Kerala will serve as an important engine to drive Nissan’s Global Digital Transformation.

  • The Hub also seeks in transforming Nissan’s Global Business by placing Digital Technology at its operations and service.

  • For this project, the Kerala Government has provided 70 acres of land to Nissan to set up the Digital Hub at the Technology Campus, Pallipuram.

Monti Rajkhowa, the First Assamese Woman to scale Mount Kachenjunga

  • Monti, who is a professionally executive engineer of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) based in Mumbai, is the first lady ONGC Officer among her male counterparts to have managed to scale the world’s toughest peak.

  • She was born and bought up in Meghalaya.

  • The ONGC Kanchenjunga expedition was flagged off by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in 2018.

  • Mount Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the World.

Ravi Thappar to be the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Costa Rica

  • Shri Ravi Thappar, presently Ambassador of India to Panama, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India, Republic of Costa Rica.

  • He is a Indian Foreign Office Server of 1983 Batch and expected to take up the assignment shortly.

  • Costa Rica President- Carlos Alvarado Costa Rica Capital- San Jose.
