Government issues India’s first ever Guidelines for Adventure Tourism
The Government of India for the first time issued guidelines for Adventure Tourism in the country.
The Guidelines states the Safety and Quality Norms for Adventure Tourism in India.
They have been formulated along with the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI)
The main objective of these guidelines is to make adventure sports in the country safer, and hence they list out the basic minimum standards required for the adventure tourism activities in India.
The guidelines covers Land, Air, Water – Based activities. They include activities like mountaineering, trekking, bungee-jumping, river- rafting, scuba – diving etc.
Patanjali Launches a New Messaging App named- “Kimbho”
Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali have launched a new Swadeshi Messaging Application called “Kimbho” to compete with Whatsapp.
Kimbho caters to Private and Group Charts with free phone calling and video calling.
The Tag line of “Kimbho” is “Ab Bharat Bolega”.
Patanjali has recently tied up with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) to enter the Telecom Sector by launching Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM Cards.
Vikas Gowda, India’s only Discus Throw Gold Medalist at Commonhealth, Retires
Top Indian Discus Thrower retired after completing at the highest level for more than 15 years, during which he became the first and only Indian male to win Commonwealth Games medal in the discipline.
He has not taken part in any of the major International Event since winning the Bronze in the Asian Championships in 2017, in Bhubaneswar.
His retirement was announced by the Athletics Federation of India.
Gowda holds a National record of 66.28m (achieved in 2012).
Scientists creates World’s First 3D – Printed Human Corneas
Scientists at New Castle University, UK have made the first Human Corneas to be produced by 3- D Printing Technology.
This technique can be used in the future to ensure an unlimited supply of corneas for those with eye problems.
The scientists created the 3-D Printed Corneas by creating a “bio – link” made from the steam cells mixed together with alginate and collagen. The bio- link was then used to print the corneas.
The method takes place less than 10 minutes to print 1 Human Cornea.
Microsoft overtakes Google’s parent company, Alphabet is now the third most valuable firm Globally.
The US surpassed company Microsoft has surpassed Google’s Parent Company, Alphabet in the market capitalization for the first time in three years.
Microsoft becomes the third most valuable firm Globally after Apple and Amazon.
Microsoft had a market cap of $753 Billion at the close of Trading, which was almost $14 Billion more than that of the Alphabet.
Apple leads with a market cap of nearly $924 Billion while Amazon comes in at second spot with nearly $783 Billion.
