The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has released the notification for the various posts (Executive and Non-Executive) for Assistant Manager in various fields, Office Assistant, Account Assistant, Stenographer and much more. The Department is providing over 1800 posts for the aspiring candidates for DMRC 2018 Recruitment. The online registration for the recruitment starts from 27th Jan 2018 to 26th Feb 2018 (23:59 pm). About the DMRC Department

DMRC which is otherwise called as the “Delhi Metro Rail Corporation” is a Centre-State Public Company that operates the Delhi Metro. It is a joint venture company with an equity participation from the Govt. of India and Govt. of National Capital Territory Delhi. The DMRC is involved in the planning and implementation of the metro rail, monorail, high-speed rail projects in India and abroad. The work of DMRC is broadly divided into different parts such as Projects, Operation, Maintenance, Finance, Human Resources etc. These services and operations are controlled by the respective Directors under the direction of Managing Director. The DMRC Recruitment Board has invited applications for the young and dynamic persons of Indian Nationality for the Executive and Non-Executive Category Posts.

For Section “A” Regular-Executive Category Posts

Age Criteria: For the Regular Executive Category Posts, the age of the candidate must be between 18 years to 28 years as on 01.01.2018 which means not born earlier than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.2000 for all the posts.

 Educational Qualifications for DMRC Recruitment 2018

The qualification requirement for the candidates is already mentioned in the above Category of Posts Sections. However, if the candidate is failed to produce any proof of having passed the qualification on the date of the publication of the result of CBT by DMRC or on the date of GD/ Interview for Executive Posts, then their candidature will be canceled.

Selection Process of DMRC 2018 Recruitment

  • For Executive Posts for Post Codes (RE01 TO RE07) and (CE01 to CE04) the selection process comprises of three stages of selection:
    • Computer Based Test (2 Papers)
    • Group Discussion and Personal Interview
    • Medical Examination
  • For Non-Executive Posts for Post Codes (RNE01 to RNE09) and (CNE01 to CNE05), the selection process includes:
    • CBT (2 Papers)
    • Medical Examination
  • For Maintainers Posts (RNE10 to RNE13) the selection process includes a Computer Based Examination (1 paper) followed by a Medical Examination.

The selection process will test the candidates knowledge, skills, comprehension, aptitude and physical fitness. The candidates have to clear each stage including the medical examination.

Computer- Based Test Pattern

Paper- I

  • The Computer based Test comprises of two papers (I and II). The Paper-I consists of objective type questions (MCQs) on General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The test includes in both Hindi and English language, General English for Maintainer (Electrician, Electronic, Mechanic, Fitter, Ref. And A. C Mechanic) and knowledge of the Discipline/ Trade.
  • There will be a total of 120 questions each carrying equal marks. There will be negative marking for the wrong answers. For every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted. The time duration of the exam is 1.5 hours/ 90 Minutes.

Paper-II (RNE10- RNE13)

  • Objective type questions on General English.
  • Total 60 questions each carrying equal marks.
  • For every wrong answer 1/3 marks is deducted.
  • The exam time duration is 45 minutes.

The candidates who qualify Paper I and II separately and rank high on the merit list within the zone in consideration will be called by DMRC, based on overall merit of both Paper I and II, Category wise, for medical examination/GD and Interview.

The candidates (all posts) will be given a free sleeper class Railway fare for the journey by the shortest route between nearest Railway Station to Hometown and Delhi.

Medical Examination

Once you clear the Computer Based Examination, the candidates have to undergo the medical fitness examination. The candidates must meet the medical standards as prescribed by the DMRC for the various posts. The expenses for the first time medical examination will be paid by DMRC. In case, the candidates seek for an extension or re-examination then, the expenses for the medical examination will be paid by the candidate itself.

Character and Antecedents

The candidate having regard to his/her character for the appointment to the service. It will be the responsibility of the employee that the character/ antecedents is done in time.

Surety Bond

The candidates who are selected for the Executive and Non- Executive Posts have to deposit a surety bond to serve the corporation for a minimum period of three years with GST along with a prior notice.

  • For Post Codes RE01 to RE07 and CE01 to CE04, a surety bond of Rs 3, 00, 000 plus GST and cost of training of Rs 83, 000 plus GST must be deposited
  • For Post Codes RNE01-08 excluding RNE04 and CNE01 to CNE02, a surety bond of Rs 1, 50, 000 plus GST and Cost of Training of Rs 30, 000 plus GST must be deposited.
  • For RNE04 and CNE03, a surety bond of Rs 1, 50, 000 plus GST and Cost of Training of Rs 1, 40, 000 plus GST must be deposited.
  • For RNE07, RNE09, CNEO4 and CNE05, a surety bond of Rs  1, 50, 000 plus GST and Cost of Training of Rs 20, 000 plus GST must be deposited.
  • For RNE10 to RNE13,  a surety bond of Rs  1, 50, 000 plus GST and Cost of Training of Rs 20, 000 plus GST must be deposited.

Training:

The selected candidates both Regular and Contract will undergo a training process before getting posted in the Job.

Probation:

The selected candidates (for regular posts) appointed will be on a probation period of two years (includes training period). In this period, the candidate has to clear various examinations. The service of the candidate in the probation period will be terminated if the candidate is found to be unsatisfactory according the terms and conditions of the Department.

Payments for DMRC Recruitment 2018 Application

The payments for the posts is done under the IDA (Industrial DA), except for the posts of Office Assistant and Store Assistant.

Concessions and Relaxations:

  • For the reserved category ST/SC-  5 years age relaxation is given. For OBC 3 years of age relaxation is given. The complete format will be available on the DMRC Website.
  • The candidates of Jammu and Kashmir who were domiciled in the state between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989, will get an upper age relaxation of 5 years.
  • The upper age of the Ex- Servicemen will be length service +3 years subject to a maximum of 40 years.
  • For the PWD Candidates, an upper age relaxation of 10years is applicable, 15 years for PWD ST/SC Candidates and 13 years for PWD OBC Candidates.
  • The existing DMRC Employees, who have completed at least 3 years of continuous service will be given an upper age relaxation to the extent:
    • For Executive Posts (RE01 to RE07 and CE01 to CE04), the maximum age relaxation for ST/SC- 10 years, OBC- 8 years and UR- 5 years.
    • For Non-Executive Posts, (RNE01 to RNE13 and CNE01 to CNE05), the upper-age limit of the employee is: for ST/SC- 45 years, UR- 40 years and OBC- 43 years.

Payment of the Application Fee for DMRC 2018 Application

  • The payment of the application fee is made online only. The application fee for UR and OBC Category candidates in Rs 500 which is non-refundable.
  • For ST/SC/ PWD and Women Candidates, an application fee of Rs 250 is charged which is non- refundable.
  • If the candidate wants to apply for more than one posts, then he/she has to pay separately for each post.

How to Apply Online for DMRC Recruitment 2018

The applications will be accepted online only and the candidates have to keep their ID Proofs and other documents ready while filling the form. The step by step procedure to apply for the Posts online:

  1. Visit the official website of DMRC- www.delhimetrorail.com and click on the Careers Link.
  2. Open the recruitment notification titled <Title No.>
  3. Before filling the application for, the candidate has to go through the instructions carefully
  4. After the successful completion of the registration, an application sequence number and password will be generated. The user ID and the password will be received on your mobile number and e-mail ID.
  5. Fill in the application form with personal details, qualification details etc.
  6. The candidates have to upload the following scanned copies of:
    • recent passport size photograph (JPG/JPEG Format, size limit- 80 Kb)
    • scanned signature (80 KB max, JPEG/JPG Format)
    • Category/ Caste Certificate (1 MB max size, JPG/JPEG Format)
    • Date of Birth Proof Document as per guidelines (1 MB max size, JPG/JPEG Format)
    • Qualifying Marks Certificate/ Last Semester Marks Sheet (1 MB max size, JPEG/JPG Format)
  7. Make the payment online through Debit/ Credit card or Net Banking.
  8. Read the declaration and preview the application form before the final submission and then take the print out of the application form.
  9. After the successful payment, an acknowledgment slip is generated. This consists an application number, transaction ID, applicant’s name, exam fee and post fee applied for. This can be used for future reference.
  10. Until and unless the payment is not done, the candidate will not be registered for the test.
