About Gujarat SET 2018
This is a State Eligibility Test Program that is conducted by the State Government of Gujarat. The Exam is conducted twice in every year in English and its dialect to select the candidates
The main objective of this Gujarat State Eligibility Test is to determine the eligibility for the lectureship, Assistant Professor etc.
Eligibility Criteria For GSET 2018
Age-Limit and Nationality
There is no upper-age limit for the candidates.
The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
Educational Qualification
The Applicant must have completed or must be appearing in the final year UGC Specified Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a Recognized Institute/ University.
Application Fees For GSET (Gujarat SET)
The Application Fees for the UR and SEBC Category is Rs 800/-.
The Application Fees for the Reserved Category (ST/SC/PWD/ Transgender) is Rs 700/-.
How to Apply for GSET (GUJ SET) 2018
The GSET Application Forms are available online from 9th April 2018 to 15th May 2018. The step by step procedure in apply for GUJ SET is as follows:
Visit the Official website of GET 2018
Register Online for the GUJ SET 2018 instantly after downloading the bank challan payment of the fee in the bank.
Candidates will have to pay Application Fees through e-challan and they must generate the Bank Challan to pay the Examination Fee.
After the successful submission of the Application Fees, the candidates have to re-login again with their Unique Registration ID and Password to complete the remaining process of the Application Form.
Fill in all the required details of the application form correctly and carefully.
No correction will be further allowed after the submission of the application form.
Upload the scanned image of photograph and signature as per the mentioned specifications.
After the completion and submission of the application form, candidates must take a printout of the filled online application form for future reference.

Selection Procedure For Gujarat State Eligibility Test 2018
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Test.
A merit list will be prepared on the basis of their performance in the Test.
The minimum eligibility to qualify is 40%, the final selection for the Assistant Professor Posts will be on the basis of the Merit.
List of the Examination Centers
The GSET Exam will be conducted for 23 subjects at six centers across the State of Gujarat.
The list of the Exam Centres are- Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Patan, and Bhavnanagar.
Examination Pattern of GUJ SET 2018:
The GSET Exam Paper will comprise of two papers of 100 and 200 marks respectively.
Paper-I Exam Pattern
The GUJ SET 2018 Paper I comprise of 50 Objective Questions each carrying 2 marks.
Total Marks Allotted- 100 marks.
The Questions will be general in nature and the questions will test the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
The sections include- Reasoning Ability, Comprehension Ability, Divergent Thinking and General Awareness of the candidate.
The total time duration- 1 Hour and 15 Minutes.
There is no negative marking.
Paper-II Exam Pattern
Comprises of 100 Objective Type Questions.
Each question carries 2 marks. Total Marks- 200 marks
The questions will be subject based selected by the candidate.
Time Duration is 2 Hours.
