After the release of the Exam City, Date and Shift on 26th July 2018, candidates have been facing a lot of issues regarding their Exam Centres. The candidates who have registered themselves for ALP and Technician Posts have been allotted Test City Centres outside their hometown. Candidates have been allocated with the Test City Centres at thousands of kilometers distance. Lakhs of candidates have issued a complaint against this to the Railway Recruitment Board.
The Railway Recruitment Board has finally come up with the statements as for why this step has been taken. The Railway Recruitment Board has said that there is a reason of allotting the centers to the candidates outside their states.

More than 47 Lakh candidates have applied for the exam.

34 Lakh candidates have been allocated with the centers within 200 Km.

99% of the candidates with disabilities and female candidates have been allocated centers within 200 Km.

40 Lakh candidates have been allocated centers within 500 Km.
