Railway Recruitment Admit Card 2018

The candidates who have applied for the Railway Recruitment 2018 will be issued with an Admit Card. RRB Recruitment admit card 2018 will be available online. The Admit cards will be available separately for the First Stage and Second Stage CBT. The admit cards for the Second Stage CBT will be issued to only to those candidates who have been shortlisted in the First Stage CBT.

The candidate has to log-in on the official website of the RRB. The candidate is supposed to have:

  • Registration Roll Number
  • Date of Birth/ Password

Admit card for RRB Recruitment 2018 will be issued to the candidates in two phases-

  • First Stage CBT
  • Second Stage CBT

RRB Group-D Admit card 2018 and RRB ALP Admit Card 2018 will be available online in the respected RRB Websites. RRB Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2018

Now,RRBs are conducting the Railway Recruitment 2018 Exams online. A Computer Based Test will be held where the questions will be multiple objective types. Let’s have a look at the various Exam Patterns of the Railway Recruitment 2018 Exams.

Railway Recruitment Assistant Loco Pilot & Technician Exam Pattern

The stages of the Railway Recruitment 2018 Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician Exam are:

RRB First Stage CBT:

  1. Minimum Percentage of Marks for Various Categories- UR- 40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST-25%.
  2. The Questions will be multiple objectives based. The question papers will be available in English as well as in other Regional languages.
  3. Negative Marking of 1/3rd for every wrong answer.
  4. The Total number of candidates to be shortlisted for the second stage must be 15 times the community wise total vacancy of ALP and Technician Posts will be notified against the RRB as per the merit in the First Stage CBT.
  5. Number of Sections- 4 (Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness on Current Affairs)
  6. Total Number of Questions- 75 Questions
  7. Total Time Duration- 60 Minutes

RRB Second Stage CBT

PART-A:

  1. Minimum Percentage of Marks for Various Categories- UR- 40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST-25%.
  2. The Questions are Multiple Objective Type Questions.
  • Negative Marking of 1/3rd for every wrong answer.
  • Number of Sections- 4 (Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness on Current Affairs)
  • Number of Questions- 100
  • Duration- 90 Minutes

PART-B:

The Qualifying Marks is 35% and is applicable for all the students. No relaxation is applicable.

The Questions will be asked from the trade syllabus that is prescribed by the Director General of the Employment and Training (DGET).

  • Number of Questions Asked- 75 Questions
  • Total Time Duration- 60 Minutes

RRB Computer-Based Aptitude Test (only for those who have opted for ALP)

  1. Here the candidates have to score a minimum of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This is applicable to all the students and no relaxation is permissible.
  2. There is no negative marking for Computer Based Aptitude Test.
  3. ALP Merit List will be prepared amongst the students qualifying the Aptitude Test with a 70% weightage for the marks obtained in Part-A of second stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in Computer-Based AT.

Railway Recruitment Document Verification 2018

For Technician Post:

The Document Verification will be conducted based on the performance of the candidates in Part-A and Part- B of the Second Stage CBT. 

For the ALP Posts:

The Document Verification will be conducted based on the performance of the candidates in both Part A of the Second Stage CBT and Computer-Based AT subject to their qualifying the Part B of the second stage.

Note: The candidates who are submitting more than one application forms will be debarred or rejected for writing the Examination.

The Recruitment/Selection Stages are as follows:

RRB Computer Based Test (CBT):

  • Number of Sections- 4 (Arithmetic Ability, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness.
  • Total Marks of the CBT- 100 Marks
  • Total Time Duration- 90 Minutes
  • Multiple Objective Based Questions
  • The Questions will be asked in English as well as other Regional Languages.

RRB Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

  • The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) selection will be based on the merit of the candidates in CBT. The candidates will be called for PET two times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against the RRBs.
  • The Physical Efficiency Test is mandatory for all the candidates.
  • The Criterias for the Physical Efficiency Test are:
Male Candidates Female Candidates
  1. Able to carry 35 Kg weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 Minutes without weighing it down.
  2. Can be able to run a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
  1. Able to carry 20 Kg weight for a distance of 100 meters without weighing it down in one chance.
  2. Can be able to run a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

Document Verification:

Based on the performance of CBT and PET, the candidates will be called or shortlisted for the Interview.

Railway Recruitment Application Fee 2018

Railway Recruitment Online Application Form 2018(Updated)  begins for Assistant Loco Pilot & Technicians and Railway Group D on 28th Feb 2018.  The Candidates must pay Rs. 500/- as Application Fee(UR & OBC) out of which Rs 400 is refundable for Railway Recruitment 2018 (ALP and Group-D). The Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ PWD/ Female/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economically backward class are required to pay Rs. 250/- as Application fee.

Note: As per as the RRB new official Notification released recently by Ministry of the Indian Railways.

  1. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has now decided that Rs. 400/- will be refunded to those candidates who appear for the exam. To enable refund of this amount, candidates will be required to submit details of their bank accounts online. This facility will be executed shortly.
  2. Exempted categories like SC / ST / Divyang / Ex-servicemen / Women / Minorities Economically Backward Classes will be charged Rs. 250/-. The whole of this amount will be refunded to those candidates from these categories who appear for the exam. These fees will ensure only serious candidates appear.
