RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2020 – RBI Grade B Preparation

The RBI Grade B is conducted in three phases-

  • Prelims (Phase I) Examination

  • Mains (Phase II) Examination

  • Interview Round

RBI Officer Grade B Prelims 2020 Exam Pattern

The Prelims Examination comprises of 200 Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions. The Total marks of the Exam are 200 marks. The Exam is divided into four sections- General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Reasoning. The total time duration of the Examination is 2 Hours.

RBI Officer Grade B Mains 2020 Exam Pattern

The RBI Grade B Mains Paper will comprise of three sections of Economics and Social Issues, Finance and Management, and English (Writing Skills). The Economics and Social Issues and English (Writing Skills) will be objective type and 100 questions will be asked on this paper. The Finance Management Section will be a descriptive paper and 100 questions will be asked in this paper.

RBI RBI Officer Grade B Interview Procedure

Candidates who qualify the Prelims and Mains Round will be called for an Interview Procedure on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained in the Prelims and Mains Exam. The Interview Round carries 50 Marks.

  • Reasoning- Inequality, Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Machine Input Output, Data Sufficiency, Circular Arrangement, Linear Arrangement, Floor Puzzle, Scheduling, Verbal Reasoning, Ordering and Ranking, Arrangement and Pattern, Blood Relations, Direction and Distance etc.

  • Quantitative Aptitude – Ratio and Proportion, Average, Time and Work, Speed and Distance and Time, Mixtures and Allegations, Stocks and Shares, Percentage, Permutation and Combination, Algebra, Trigonometry, Data Interpretation, Mensuration, Probability, Set Theory etc.

  • English Language – Grammar, Vocabulary, Error Spotting, Comprehension, Passage Making, Jumble Words, Fill in the Blanks, Sentence Framing etc.

  • General Awareness – Current Affairs, Indian Financial System, Indian Banking System, Monetary Plans, National Institution, Banking Terms etc.

  • Economic and Social Issues – Growth and Development, Economic Reforms in India, Globalisation, and Social Structure of India.

  • Finance – Financial System, Financial Markets, Risk Management, Basics of Derivatives, Development in Financial Sector, Union Budget, Inflation.

  • Management- Role of Manager, Human Resource Development, Motivation, Morale, and Incentives, Communication, Cooperate Governance.

Candidates can start their preparation from now onwards as the Reserve Bank of India has released all the dates of the Recruitment Examination. Online Application Forms will start from the month of July 2020.
