RPF Physical Eligibility Criteria 2018: Running Time, Height, Weight, PET& PST

The Indian Ministry of Railways has released an RPFSF/ RPF Recruitment 2018. In this article we will provide you important details regarding the RPF Physical Eligibility Criteria 2018. Candidates who have applied for the Railway Protection Force Recruitment 2018 can get all the details regarding the RPF Running Time 2018/ RPF Physical 2018.

Candidates who have applied for the RPF Recruitment 2018 must know that the age-limit, educational qualifications and Nationality is not the only criterias that the candidate must fit in. They must also satisfy the Physical criteria as well. In this article, we will talk about each and every criteria and stage recruitment in details.

The RPF has categorised all the Physical Measurement Criteria’s on the basis of the category of the candidates.

RPF Physical Eligibility Criteria

The Railway Protection Force has different physical eligibility criteria on the basis of the following:

  • Height
  • Chest (Unexpanded and Expanded)
  • Weight

RPF Physical Height and Chest Criteria (Male)

The RPF Physical Height and Chest criteria are classified on the basis of the category of the candidates

  • For UR/OBC Category – The Height should be 165 Cms and the Unexpanded Chest must be 80 Cms and Expanded Chest must be 85 Cms (for males only)
  • For SC/ST Category – The Height should be 160 Cms and the Unexpanded Chest must be 76.2 Cms and Expanded Chest must be 81.2 Cms.
  • For Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Marathas, Dogras, Kumaonese, and other categories specified by the Government, the height must be 163 Cms.

RPF Physical Height Criteria (Female)

  • For UR/OBC Category – The Height should be 157 Cms
  • For SC/ST Category – The Height of the candidate must be 152 Cms.
  • For Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Marathas, Dogras, Kumaonese, and other categories specified by the Government, the height must be 155 Cms.

Now, if you come under the above physical criteria conditions then you are eligible for applying for the RPF Constable and SI Posts.

Recruitment Process of RPF 2018 (SI and Constable)

The Candidate has to submit only one application form for the Recruitment. The complete selection/recruitment procedure of RPF 2018 involves the following phases-

  1. Computer Based Test

  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

  3. and Document Verification (DV)

Since, in this article we are talking about the RPF Physical Criteria 2018 which includes all the RPF Running Time, Height, Weight, PET& PST and other conditions, therefore, we will not discuss about the CBT Procedure in details.

CBT Procedure for RPF SI and Constable Recruitment Posts 2018

  • CBT stands for Computer Based Test.

  • The CBT will be held in Hindi, English and other Regional Languages.

  • The Standard of the Exam for Constable Posts will be 10th/ Matric Level and for SI Posts it will be Graduation Level.

  • For every correct answer 1 mark will be awarded and for every wrong answer 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted.

  • Passing Percentage for UR is 35%, and for ST and SC is 30%.

  • Total Time Duration of the CBT is 90 Minutes and

  • Total Number of Questions asked – 120 Questions.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) for RPF Constable Posts 2018

Based on the Performance or the merit, candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measurement Test to the extent of 10 times the category wise total vacancy in Group of Zonal Railways. However, the limit can be increased or decreased depending on the availability of the candidates. Passing the Physical Efficiency Test is compulsory for all the candidates and the same is qualifying in nature. The Criteria for the Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Running Time is as follows-

Note:

  • For 1600/800 Meters event only one chance will be given. For the other remaining events such as Long Jump and High Jump, candidates will be given 2 chances each.
  • Ex-Servicemen will be exempted from PET, but they have to undergo PMT.
  • Candidate must qualify all the tests, as per the above norm to be eligible for the consideration.
  • Candidates who have qualified 1600/800 Meters will be measured for eligibility with respect to the height and chest.
  • The Chest Measurement is taken only of the Male Candidates. If a Male’s Candidate’s unexpanded chest measurement is below the eligibility then the expanded measurement shall not be taken and he shall be treated as disqualified.
  • Male Candidates who have a minimum height will not be considered for the measurement of chest and will be treated as disqualified.
  • Candidate who do not the minimum height, chest measurements will be treated as having failed the PMT.
  • The PET/ PMT is qualifying in nature. No marks will be awarded for that.
  • A grievance redressal cell will be set up for the redressal of grievances related to the chest and height.

RPF Recruitment 2018 Document Verification

Based on the performance of the candidates in the CBT, and subject to their qualifying in PET/PMT, candidates will be called for the Document Verification. Candidates who do not appear the Document Verification will not e considered for the Final Selection irrespective of their performance in the written examination and PET/PMT.

Bonus Marks

Bonus marks are allotted in the following manner

For NCC Candidates

  • B Certificate of NCC – 01 Marks
  • C Certificate of NCC – 02 Marks
  • Maximum Marks for NCC Certificate is 02 Marks.

Benefit is available only on production of Original Certificate. This benefit is not available to the Ex-Servicemen.

For Sports

  • Represented University at Inter University Sports – 01 Marks
  • Represented State at Interstate Sports – 2 Marks
  • Represented India at International Sports Meet – 2 Marks
  • Medal Winner at National Level Sports Meet – 03 Marks
