Overview of RRB ALP First Stage CBT (17th August 2018) Shift III (Section-Wise)

Mathematics Section

The Mathematics Section was moderate. Few Questions were tricky to answer. Some of the Questions that were asked in the CBT are –

  • Trigonometry – {1/(1+Sin theta)} + {1/(1-Sin theta)} = ?
  • 5 men or 10 woman does a work in 20 days, then 3 men and 4 women will complete the work in how many days?
  • Percentage – 46% of 250=?
  • Two to three questions were asked from Simple Interest
  • If x3311 is divided by 11 & the remainder is 0, then find X = ?

General Intelligence and Reasoning Section

This section was the easiest one. Questions were easy and directly asked. Overall, the section was easy. Some of the Questions that were asked are –

  • Alphabet – D,W,C,X,K,P,H,?
  • Rate = 4%, Amount – 1250, Time = 6 years, Find Principle?
  • LCM of (36, 72, 126) =?
  • What is the degree of angle between the hour & Minute hand at 5:49 am

General Science Section

This section was easy to moderate. Questions were mostly asked from Physics. Some of the Questions that were asked in the CBT are

  • Co-ordinates of a triangle (2,4), (-3, -1), (5,2). Find the area of a circle ?

General Intelligence and Reasoning Section

This section was the most easiest one. Questions were easy and directly asked.

Overview of RRB ALP First Stage CBT (17th August 2018) Shift II (Section-Wise)

Mathematics Section

The Mathematics Section was pretty easy as per the students feedback. Questions asked were directly formula based. Overall the section was easy to attempt.

Some of the Questions that were asked in the CBT are –

  • What number should we add with 435 to make it a square root?
  • A is filling a tank in 2 hrs, B is a hole present in the tank. If both A and B works at the same time then it takes 7/3 hours to fill the tank. If the tank is full, then how many hours the tank will empty?
  • Trigonometry – Sin 30+ Cos 30 + (Cos 30/Sin 30) = ?
  • What is the unit digit of (2153)^167
  • Ratio & Proportion – If 18 man takes 12 days to complete a work, working 6 hrs daily, then how many days it will take for 36 men to do the same work working 3 hrs daily
  • Height = 14, Base = 7, Then find the Hypotenuse?

General Intelligence and Reasoning Section

This section was the most easiest one. A Candidate can easily gain good marks from this section. Questions tahta were asked in the Examination:

  • Statement & Assumption – 2 to 3 Questions were asked
  • Statement & Conclusion – Some Cat is Rat, Some Cat is Monkey.
  • Data Sufficiency – 1 to 2 Questions
  • Number Series – 1 to 2 Question
  • Counting of Figure –
  • Calendar- If today is Friday. So, what will be the day after 30 days.
  • 15th Feb 2018 is Thursday, then what is 15th Feb 2019?

General Science Section

This section was easy to moderate. Questions were mostly asked from Physics. Some of the Questions that were asked in the CBT are-
