Expected Dates of RRB ALP 2nd Stage CBT 2018

Currently, RRB has not announced any official dates regarding the exam date of RRB ALP Second Stage CBT 2018. The First Stage ALP CBT was held from 9th August 2018 to 31st August 2018. Candidates who will be shortlisted in the Railway ALP First Stage CBT 2018 will be called out for the Railway ALP 2nd Stage CBT 2018. As per the sources, the expected dates for conducting RRB ALP 2nd Stage CBT 2018 is December 2018/January 2019. The Railway Recruitment Board will announce the dates online on all the RRB Websites.

The format of Selecting the Candidates for Railway ALP 2nd Stage CBT 2018

Now, most of the candidates are confused with the selection to the next round. But recently, the Railway Recruitment Board has cleared that the candidates will be selected based on their performance. Recently, the Railway Recruitment Board Allahabad had posted important information regarding the declaration of RRB ALP CBT Result of First Stage CBT. The Board said that candidates will be not shortlisted on the basis of the minimum qualifying percentage that is mentioned in the 13.2 Paragraph of the Official Notification. Instead, a cut off mark will be chosen which will set the bar for selecting the candidates. Based on the cutoff the mark, candidates will be shortlisted 15 times of the community wise total vacancy of ALP and Technician Posts notified against the RRB as per the merit list of First Stage ALP CBT.

The Railway has the right to increase or decrease the limit for any specific trade. So, candidates who are thinking that scoring just the minimum qualifying marks will not be considered as qualified/shortlisted for the next stage. Therefore the candidates must go through the official notification properly. The Railway has cleared explained the method of selecting the candidates for the next stage.

What happens after shortlisting the candidates for Railway ALP 2nd Stage CBT 2018?

A merit list will be published on the website which will contain the name of the candidates who are selected for the next round. Candidates can check their names by submitting their Registration ID and Date of Birth on the link that will be provided on the Homepage of the RRB Websites. After releasing the names shortlisted candidates list for Railway ALP Second Stage CBT 2018, after few months the RRB will release the Exam Date of RRB ALP Second Stage CBT only.

Exam Pattern of Railway ALP 2nd Stage CBT 2018

As mentioned earlier, Total number of candidates for the Railway Loco Pilot and Technician CBT Round will be 15 times the community wise total vacancy of ALP and Technician Posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in the First Stage CBT.

The Second Stage Computer Based Test of RRB ALP and Technician are divided into parts A and B and each part has a different exam pattern. Let’s talk about each pattern in details-

RRB ALP and Technician Second Stage CBT (Part A) Exam Pattern

  • Part A is a Multiple Choice Objective Pattern.
  • The Language Mode of the CBT is Hindi/English and 15 other Regional Languages.
  • Each correct answer carries 1 mark and for every wrong answer, 1/3rd marks is deducted.
  • There are total 4 sections from which questions will be asked – Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness with Current Affairs and Basic Science and Engineering.
  • Total Marks reserved for Part A Section- 100 marks
  • Total Time Duration – 90 minutes.
  • Distribution of marks section-wise will be announced a few days before the date of the examination.

Minimum Qualifying Percentage of RRB ALP 2nd Stage CBT 2018

The Railway Recruitment Board has set a certain minimum qualifying percentage based on which the Board will select the candidates for the next stage of the selection procedure. These minimum qualifying percentage marks vary from category to category.

  • Qualifying Percentage for General Category – 40%
  • Qualifying Percentage Marks for OBC and SC Category – 30%
  • Qualifying Percentage of Marks for ST Category – 25%

Exam Pattern of Railway ALP 2nd Stage CBT (Part B)

This section is completely qualifying in nature. In this Part, Questions will be asked from topics of the relevant trade that you have chosen in the link that was recently activated for the candidates.

  • The Subject will be the relevant trade that you have applied for.
  • Total Number of Questions – 75 Questions
  • Total Time Duration – 60 Minutes
  • Total Marks – 75 Marks
  • The Questions will be asked in Multiple Objective Type Pattern
  • 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer and 1/3rd marks will be awarded for every wrong answer.
  • This part is qualifying in nature and will have the questions based on the trade syllabus prescribed by the DGET (Director General and Employment and Training (DGET).

Minimum Qualifying Marks of Railway ALP 2nd Stage CBT (Part B)

  • The Minimum Qualifying Percentage for this part is 35%.
  • The Minimum Qualifying Percentage is applicable to all the categories and
  • There is no relaxation applicable to anyone.

Expected Dates for RRB ALP 2nd Stage CBT Exam 2018

The Expected Dates for Railway ALP 2nd Stage CBT is January/February 2018. The Railway Recruitment Board has not yet announced anything about the Railway 2nd Stage ALP and Technician CBT. Candidates will be notified on their registered mobile number and e-mail id once the dates are announced.     Ki travel pass aur cast certificate pe train me travel kr sakte hai

      You need to visit the Railway Station, show the Travel pass along with Caste Certificate and Admit Card. Your ticket will be booked. Or follow the orders as passed by the Ticket Master.

    I have completed E.E.E engineering in 2000 and started career as research executive in Data tree India private limited.
