RRB Group D Medical Test 2018 will be conducted after the RRB Group D (Level-1) Physical Efficiency Test and Document Verification Test. The Railway Medical Test for Group D is conducted to the check the Physical Fitness of the candidates. This is the last sage of the selection procedure for RRB Group D Posts. After the completion of RRB Group D CBT, PET and Document Verification, candidates who are selected for Railway Group D Medical Test will be issued with an appointment date. Now, the RRB Group D CBT Exams is being conducted. The Computer Based Test is held from 17th September 2018 to 14th December 2018. There has been a lot of confusion regarding the Railway Group D Medical Standards whether they are eligible or not. So here in this article, we will be discussing the RRB Group D Physical Fitness Medical Test 2018 in details.

RRB Group D Medical Test 2018

The Railway Group D Medical Test is the last stage of the RRB Group D Recruitment 2018. Candidates who are selected/eligible for RRB Group D Medical Test 2018, will be given an appointment to attend the Medical Test. Candidates who failed to appear this Test will be disqualified from the selection procedure.

Medical Tests/Examination Taken by the RRB Group D 2018 Applicants

Candidates who have been selected for Railway Group D Posts have to undergo through following Medical Physical Tests.

Distance Vision Test

The Distant Vision Test is conducted to check the visual acuity of the applicants. The vision clarity of the candidates will be checked through Snellen’s Chart.

When you will visit the Medical Checkup Spot, you will be asked to read letters in each row from a distance of 6 meters.

  • If you score 6/6, that means you will be able to view things which are located 6 meters away. This is termed to be as the Normal condition.

  • If your score is 6/9, this means that it denotes that you can see objects which are located 6 meters away which can be normally seen by a person who is located 9 meters away. This is slighly below the normal condition.

  • If your score is 6/12 and 6/18 – This means that you are able to read letters at 6 meters distance, which a normal person can read it at 12 meters and 18 meters distance. This is not a normal condition.

Color Vision Test

The Color Vision Test is used to check the ability to differentiate things in the colors. If you don’t pass this test then you have a poor color vision or you may be color blind. In this test, the doctor will ask you to cover one eye and with the help of the uncovered eye, he will tell you to look at the series of the test cards which are in the form of the multicolored dot pattern. In each color pattern, there will be a number or a symbol. Then again you will have to cover the next eye and read with the other eye. Through this test, the doctor will check the color intensity of both the eyes.

Blood Test

In the Blood Test, the doctor will examine sugar test and diabetes test of the candidate. The doctor will also assess your general health and see how other organs are functioning.

ECG Test

The ECG Test is also called as ElectroCardiogram Test. The test is done to check the functionality of the heart. It is used to check irregularities of the heart rhythm. The doctor will check the electrical activity of the heart.

Urine Test

Candidates will have to undergo the Urine Test, to check for disease/infection in the urinary tract. The test will screen out some of the common diseases such as kidney infection, metabolic conditions, liver problems etc. The Urine Examination will be applicable for those candidates who are more than 30 years of age.

X-Ray Test

Applicants have to undergo an X-Ray Test to examine most areas of the body. They are mainly used to check the Joints and Bones of the body. Through an X-Ray Test, fracture of bones and breaks are detected.

Blood Pressure Test

The Blood Pressure Test is done to check the flowing pressure of the bone. The doctor will test your blood pressure conditions.

ENT Test

Tests of Ear, Nose, and Teeth is done.Some of the other tests, are Testes, Hermania, and Piles Test.

RRB Group D Medical Test for PWD Candidates

The Candidates with Physical Disability conditions do not have to undergo the Physical Efficiency Test. Instead, they have to undergo, Medical Tests that are mentioned above. All one eyed candidates whose visual degree of disability is less than 40% shall not be considered as Visually Handicapped Person and provision of engaging scribe shall not be applicable to them.

To pass the RRB Group D Medical Tests 2018, candidates must be in good mental and physical health. The Railway Medical Examination of the Group D Posts is not that complex than that of the Railway ALP. Candidates must make sure to have a healthy diet and try to keep your body fit.
