RRB ALP Exam Pattern and Selection Procedure

RRB ALP selection will be based on 4 stages as follows:

  1. First stage CBT
  2. Second stage CBT
  3. Computer-Based Aptitude Test (only for ALP)
  4. Document Verification

RRB ALP(Loco Pilot) First Stage CBT Exam Pattern 2021

The RRB is going to conduct the RRB Loco Pilot First Stage CBT in the month of August 2021. CBT stands for Computer Based Test, which means the Exam will be conducted online. Now coming to the Exam Pattern of RRB ALP 2021, the Exam will be held online for the total time duration of 60 Minutes. Total 75 questions will be asked from the following sections – Maths, General Science, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness on Current Affairs. Each correct answer will carry one mark, and for every incorrect answer, 1/3rd of a mark will be deducted.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern

RRB Second Stage CBT Exam Pattern 2021

The RRB ALP Second Stage CBT comprises of two parts- Part A and B. To qualify, the candidates have to clear both the parts.Both the parts carry different marks and weightage of marks. Total Time Duration of the Exam is 90 Minutes. The Questions are in objective type format, total 100 questions are asked where the scores is used for the Merit Preparation.

RRB ALP Part B Exam Pattern

This Exam is a Trade Test and is necessary to qualify. The time duration of the Examination is 60 Minutes and 75 questions are asked which are objective type. The Exam is qualifying in nature.

RRB Loco Pilot Third Stage CBAT Exam Pattern

CBAT is also known as Computer Based Aptitude Test. This Exam is only for the ALP applicants. The marks scored in CBAT will be considered in the Merit List.

RRB ALP Document Verification

This is the Final Stage of the recruitment. Documents of the candidates will be verified at this stage. Candidates who qualify all the rounds will be called for Document Verification.

RRB ALP 2018 Previous Exam Overview

This year, over 46.75 Lakh candidates have applied for RRB ALP Recruitment Exam 2018. The candidates competed for 26, 502 vacancies of Assistant loco Pilot and Technicians under the Indian Railways. As per the latest data by the Indian Railways, for a single seat one candidate has to compete for other 279 Candidates which will be really tough. The competition is quite high. So we advise all the candidates to prepare well and stay calm before appearing the Examination.
