SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria

A candidate should meet the required conditions such as Educational Qualification, Nationality, Age Limit and others. Candidates do not meeting SSC GD Constable 2018 eligibility criteria should not fill the application form. The application form of non-eligible candidates will not be accepted under any circumstances.

  • Candidates should have qualified Intermediate from a recognized Board.

SSC GD Constable Eligibility criteria2018: Nationality/Citizenship

Candidates should possess the Nationality of the country mentioned in the SSC GD Constable notification. Any candidate belonging from some other nation are not eligible to apply for the released vacancies. We have mentioned the eligibility related to the citizenship below.

  • A candidate should be the citizen of India or

  • A candidate should be the citizen of Bhutan provided that eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India or

  • A candidate should be the citizen of Nepal provided that eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India or

  • A candidate who is Tibetan refugee and came to India before 1st January 1962 and is permanently settled in India provided that eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India or

  • An Indian origin candidate migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam provided that eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India.

SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria: Age Details

Candidates should meet the age limits for filling the application form. A candidate can check SSC GD age details

  • A candidate’s age should be between 18 – 23 Years as on 01.08.2018.

  • The candidates born on or before 02.08.1993 and after 01.08.1998 are not eligible.

Up to 33 Years of age

SSC GD Constable PET & PST 2018

SSC has prescribed physical standards for the selection of candidate to the post of GD Constable. Candidates who will pass the written examination shall be called for Physical Examination Test (PET). The candidate who will not meet the physical standard shall not be considered for next stage of the recruitment.

SSC GD Constable Eligibility criteria 2018: Physical Standards

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be organised for those candidates who will meet the Physical Standards of SSC GD Constable. In PET, a candidate has to complete the race within the prescribed time limit.

  • For Male: 5 kms in 24 minutes.

  • For Female: 1.6 kms in 8 minutes.

SSC GD Constable: Medical Standards

Such candidates who will pass PST/PET will be called for Medical Test. The test will be conducted to check whether a candidate is satisfying the Medical Standards or not. The medical standard of GD constable is as follows.
