UPSC CDS 2 2018 Eligibility Criteria

One should meet CDS eligibility criteria to fill the UPSC CDS 2 2018 application form. • For Indian Military Academy:

  • Candidates should have completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University.
  • The age of candidates should be in between 18-24 years i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 2000.
  • Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible for IMA.
• For Indian Naval Academy:
  • Candidates should have completed Engineering in any field from a recognised University.
  • The age of candidates should be in between 18-24 years i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 2000.
  • Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible for IMA.
• For Air Force Academy:
  • Candidates should have completed Graduation (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Engineering from a recognised University.
  • The age of candidates should be in between 20-24 years i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 1999.
  • Candidates whose age is less than 25 years should be unmarried and marriage is not allowed during training.
• For Officers’ Training Academy:
  • Candidates should have completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University.
  •  The age of candidates should be in between 18-24 years i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st January, 2000.
  • Only unmarried Male & Female candidates can apply.
• Candidates who are studying in the final year of Graduation can also fill UPSC CDS 2 application form.
• Citizenship:
  • A Citizen of India, or
  • A Citizen of Nepal, or
  • A Citizen of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962.
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

• Fill the applicant name same as given in the class 10th Certificate.

• Fill the Parent’s/Guardian’s name same as given in the class 10th Certificate.

• Fill Date of Birth of the applicant in dd/mm/yyyy format same as recorded in class 10th Certificate.

• Select the applicant’s gender (Male/Female).

• Select the Marital Status of applicant.

• Fill a valid mobile number and email id for future communications.

• Fill the details of the latest qualifying examination such as name of Board/University, School/College etc.

• Upload the Photo (3 KB – 40 KB) and Signature (1 KB – 40 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.

• After filling all the details, click on the ‘submit’ button for the submission of the application form.

• A Registration ID (RID) will be generated after the submission of application form. Candidate should note that and keep it safe for further use.

• Make the payment of the application fee by using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

• Take the print out of the application form for in future use.

• If an applicant submits more than one application form then applications with higher Registration ID (RID) will be entertained by the Commission.

UPSC CDS 2 Admit Card 2018 @ upsc.gov.in

UPSC CDS II admit card will release in online mode only for the eligible candidates. UPSC CDS (2) admit card will not be sent by post to any candidate. Candidates have to visit upsc.gov.in for UPSC CDS 2 2018 hall ticket download. The admit card will be made available three weeks before the date of examination. UPSC CDS Intelligence And Personality Test 2018

Such candidates who will qualify UPSC CDS 2 written examination will be called for appearing in SSB. SSB comprises of the two stages namely

1. Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) or Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT).

2. Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference.

Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) or Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT):

In this test, first candidates will be given question paper which will have MCQ of Mathematics and Reasoning. After that a candidate will be shown blur picture and then he/she has to write a short story on the basis of his/her observation. Later on, a candidate has to describe that story. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of that performance in OIR Test and PP&DT.

Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference:

This is the second stage of SSB wherein only shortlisted candidates appear in the test. The test is conducted for 4 days in which a candidates Mental, the Physical and Psychological ability is tested by the Interviewing Officer (IO), Group Testing Officer (GTO) and the Psychologist. This is the final stage for the selection of candidates.
